As I mentioned in other thread I have a very good friend who is in upper management of NFL
I asked him about the coin used in Jets game......here is the reply
Hey Jon,
The coin for that game was provided by the Marines
Special Military Coin to be Used for Coin Toss
Saturday’s Coin for the Coin Toss is a Commanding Officer's Coin provided by the ForeRunners of Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, which is currently deployed in Iraq.
The Forward detachment in Iraq is comprised of over 800 Marines and Sailors drawn from 17 different Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons around the world. MALS-16 Forward's mission is to support Marine Corps Aviation for Operation Iraqi Freedom initiatives. The ForeRunners are responsible for repair of critical Aviation parts as well as providing Aviation Supply Support for all Marine Aviation units in Iraq.
