Okay funseekers... how tough is thus one? I have looked in Spink and have that info. Any experiences?

    It's tough, at least for me. I've never found one in any condition. Of course, I usually ignore the junk boxes except to find an open "3" 1903 penny.

    I thought I had one recently, but it was a mis-labelled "low tide".

    If every seller who claimed they had the "high tide" 1897 really did, it would be a common coin. It never fails - everyone thinks they've got the rare one.
