They are his scans, as I have yet to take any of my own, but, having them in hand, they look a lot better than the scans, the 88 S proof set has some nice dark toning around the rims, especially on the jefferson. What designation would these be?

I have found that most of my coin scans don't look as good as the actual coin.
I'm looking to get a digital camera, so I can get beter images by changing angles and lighting.

What brand and how old are the holders? I wonder if age and type have anything or allthing to do with the outer tint.
