homemade card

Hey guys, have you guys ever try to make and print your own card? I am wondering what type of paper stock would be used and where can i get them to look and feel just like the ones they used by the big companies and what type of printer do I need to print them off? thanks

Gee, I hope it's not easy to make cards at home that "look and feel" like the real thing. Otherwise people would be cranking out copies of Jordan and Gretzky rookies and selling them as genuine.

Come to think of it, that's what some people did.

Then you just lay the 52 Topps Mantle on the scaner and hit copy and watch the money flow in.
  • no it would be silly to even think to "dup" the same card that are already out, I wanna make some cards for my son little league team I already have a photo printer but not sure what kind of paper the real cards are printed from

The best you are going to get without placing a large special order is the card stock at Wal-Mart.
  • my friends and I made soem when I was about 12... used the old Topps and Fleer stickers as the pictures, typeset printer for the text and I remember tracing a banner like on the 65 topps' cards to put the name in. They were pretty neat, esp for a 12 y/o. We did probally pieces of paper worth... 18 players. image i have probally long since tossed them.
