2004 20p striking problems?
![Sylvestius](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/defaulticon/pdefault.gif)
Is it just me or is this coin suffering from striking flaws or something, i've seen alot of 2004 20ps exhibiting this, indeed it's hard to find one without, this is an average one, i've seen better and i've seen alot worse. Kinda looks like the field was a sand pit and the effigy of Her Majesty came crashing down...

Just compared it with a 2003 strike and the 2003 issue does not exhibit this sandpit phenomenon, and the strike is much much better. Lack of pressure certainly would seem a likely cause.
I'm waiting to see what Cladking says on this one, if anyone knows about stuff like this, he's the man.
I can send you one over with that payment i'm shipping over Wybrit should you wish?
like it and the picture is a little difficult to make out but my first impression was
die fatigue. This of course assumes that this pattern isn't the same from one
coin to another.
It's possible the concavity of the coin was switched to bring up the reverse and
the added stress caused unforeseen stress on the fields of the obverse die.
It might be too much pressure too, I do not know. I have the one coin that exhibits similar lines radiating outwards from the center, the Vietnam 1946 1 dong issue, and my local dealer suggested that not enough pressure caused the pressure lines.

She looks lonely. Maybe she should come across the pond to visit the other 20p here in my collection.
I'm afraid to be alive without being aware of it
<< <i>What do the 20ps in the 2004 BU sets look like? >>
I looked at a BU set ages ago but i didn't take note on how the 20p looked though.
Wonder if they're using left over 2003 obverse dies?
I'll send you one over Kuhli with the other stuff that i'm gonna send over, when i know what that stuff is of course.
