Baseball Set Binder Capacity

Just curious how big of a binder I would need to accomodate a typical thickness card set of 700-800 cards? I plan on displaying them with one card per sleeve, so both fronts and backs are visible.

I am specifically looking at the complete 1981 fleer set, because (a) it holds a lot of memories for me from when I was young and (b) there are just so many errors that both the fronts and backs have to be seen to fully appreciate this set. The full edition of 1981 fleer with all errors and varieties is 750 cards.

Also, I was wondering if the binders from MJRoop for specific sets are big enough to display the cards this way?

For a set that size, you would need two 3-inch binders to display one card per pocket. I'm not sure about the MJ Roop binders.

If they are graded, probably about 10 binders. I have the 66 card set of 1957 bkb bulging in a 3" binder, 4 cards per page. I am also looking for a better way. BD

I fit a 1972 Topps baseball set at 787 cards into a 3" binder with one card per pocket no problems.

you can easily fit 44-48 18-pocket sheets back to back cards - OR 88-96 single sided sheets in a 3" D-Ring binder.

I went out and bought 100 sheets, and the 84 sheets with cards fit into the 3" binder easily.

Yes, they are. I just did my '72 set (787 cards) and it fit nicely.
