Question about Game Used.

Hello, new here.

Long time football card collector but was away for several years. Im back now and have a few questions.
I wont flood the board so i'll just ask 1 for now.

I was looking at the recent 2004 Topps cards. They say "Game-Used Super Bowl XXXVIII Relics" ...what does that mean?
Ive seen some of the same year topps cards that dont say that.

    They've taken swatches from some of the items used in the Superbowl and put them in the cards. For instance, when the Patriots won their first Superbowl, Topps took pieces of the goal post and put them in serial #'d Adam Vinateri card the following year. Turned out to be one of the more popular inserts in the set. image
