Doesn't it seem ironic?

that the 1853 quarter and half dollar were designed with bold rays around a proud eagle to announce:

"Hey folks, we got less silver than we used to have !" .....don't it seem funny?

"Ironic" means ....odd. Strangely inappropriate. Counterintuitive..like that. Like in: "Isn't it ironic that the gubblemint is trying to make us enjoy being cheated a little bit a little bit more?"

    Like that.
