2004 Pattern coins of Slovenia set

The seller says the set is limited to 400 sets worldwide. I like the designs and am thinking about picking one up.

Anyone have any info or opinions on this set. Overpriced for a limited edition?

    Ah - Slovenia pattern Euros!

    The key phrase here is:

The Producing Company is International Numismatic Agency Ltd.

I suspect fantasy patterns - as have appeared for a number of European countries, inside and outside the EU

Sounds familiar. There are Bulgarian pattern euros that were minted under a private contract and I've seen them offered on Ebay. The seller was from Canada, IIRC.

This and the private feedback is enough for a NO.

    Thanks for the warning image
  • They're fantasy pieces. I've seen them for a couple different countries made by this company. If you look at this site you'll see there are sets for Alderney, Andorra, Bulgaria, Denmark, Gibralter, Great Britain, Iceland, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Malta, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland. All produced by the International Numismatic Agency LTD in Great Britain. http://www.sammler.com/mz/euro_probepraegungen.htm

Conder - Thanks for the link.

I was wondering if it was the same company that produced all the other fantasy sets.
