What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

  • Mike,

I was surfing the new listings for walkers on ebay and figured some of those were yours when I saw the note about mercury dimes. Good luck! It's hard to tell how the old rattlers do there. I sold all of my lower grade PCGS/NGC halves(XF to MS64) on ebay about a month on Sunday of New Year's weekend and made about $600 profit off of 13 coins. Great time to have coins listed as some didn't care what they paid. This should be a good Sunday too with no football, so I put my circulated lincoln set(1909-1940 less SVDB) & mercury set(less 16-D) on the block to end then. I might be able to buy one good MS-66 liberty half when it's over with. Sounds liked a fair deal.... sell 150 coins and end up with one.image

I was tempted to talk to you about the 1944 you have for sale since I know my NGC MS65 1944 is not going to cross that I sent in to PCGS, but I ended up sniping a PCGS MS66 coin at a bargain price. And I just obtained another PCGS green label half(1945 MS65) via sniping a few minutes ago. If no one is going to bid, I'll gladly take these halves off of sellers. Plans were to put a MS66 coin in that slot if I could find one of quality, but in the meantime it fills a void. image

Looking for pictures. I need a high grade toned Mercury dime.

Cary, Not yet -- been swamped -- have to wait 'till 21 days anyway, which I think is just coming up.

Bear, only the 1926 has a little color (looks much better live than in the pictures) -- all the other ones are boring super white examples.

Let me try to fire off a few pics...stay tuned

OK...I'm back with the pics of the 1926-P MS66FB. This coin is REALLY nice in person -- a hair shy of 67FB. PCGS doesn't always like toning...so the light colorful toning on the obverse, a little light toning on the revers and the microscopic little ticks around the jaw area of the obverse probably keep it from 67FB. Check out the reverse -- totally hammered out and nearly mark free!! Interesting enough, this coin looks nearly identical to my 38-D and the 38-D is in a 67FB holder...go figure image

Hope this helps -- the pictures are kind of a quick and dirty to give you an idea...I didn't feel like futzing around setting up lights, etc.

Well, just about all gone now...here's what I have left. I need some dry powder (e.g. $$) for some new dimes for my set image

I have some raw -- and some PCGS slabbed. As always to Board members -- full MBG if you're not happy image

2 raw first (and then PCGS below):

1937-D -- this coin is spectacular ... I'll CONSERVATIVELY call it (and sell it as) ita 66FB...truthfully it's a 67FB: Price for Board -- $105

    image

    image

    1944-P -- again, a dynamite coin -- it's a 66FB, but I'll seel it as a high-end 65FB: Price for Board: $40

    image

    image

1944-D PCGS MS68FB (all white) (Old green holder -- probably one of the first 68FB's -- simply stunning): $1,025 firm!

    1943-D PCGS MS67FB -- $120 (all white)

1942-S PCGS MS66FB -- $165 (all white) -- this one needs to resubmitted -- looks like a 67FB IMHO image

    1938 PCGS Proof PR67 -- $905 (color)

...and I have one Walking Liberty Half:

    1946-P PCGS MS65 -- Old green holder -- nice! image -- $195

PM me or e-mail me at beygelman@mac.com if you're interested.

    Thanks for looking image
