2004 Fat "D" Error 5 cent Peace Nickel. Is this for real?

    I think similar stories were told when the first state quarters were released, and sold in rolls. People noticed that one mint or the other were thicker.

    Why would anyone care beyond the hmmmm factor? Certainly wouldn't pay extra!

  • What I like is that he is claiming the D'd are thicker becase they were struck at a lower pressure. Actually they are "thicker" because they were struck at a HIGHER pressure which allows the rims and edges to fill completely. The coins when stacked rest on these thicker rims and results in slightly longer rolls.

    and this is worth $22 for a P and D roll set??????????????? Wow, i need more money to invest in junk.
    Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.
