Hey guys, when PSA/DNA authenticate a signed index card (normal size), do they encase the index card in a psa holder ? thanks

    Hi Austin
I collect photos, cards, balls, bats, both gu auto and plain auto - have not sent anything in yet but my guess is that you would have to pay to have it holdered. E.g., I have a PSA/DNA Williams Perez-Steele - as you know, they also holder them.

The PSA sticker is on the back - if you want an accompanying letter - if memory serves, you have to pay extra (10$?) if the service is under (50$?) so much for the authentication.

If I only have to pay for holdering of this card, I may sent it in when I do a major auto submission.

edit: I didn't jump in this "in the know" or anything - just wanted to get into the conversation with what I do know since I really enjoy collecting autos.

  • Austin,

Check the PSA Fee Schedule under the AUTOGRAPHED CARD "GRADING AND AUTHENTICATION" section:

<< <i>PSA will encapsulate signed items such as 3x5's (index cards), postcards, cuts and checks (the smaller sized ones) if, of course, these items will fit into the current selection of holders. >>

I collect 3x5's too, but haven't been very active in it for a while. I think I have about 1500 of mostly players from the 20's through the 50's. I'd also like to send several in for encapsulation, but I'm enjoying baseball card set-building for the time being.
