WHY can't I figure out the "search" feature?

Other than stupidity, senility, dementia, and bad luck.
I.....try....it numerous times. Plop. Get "no results" alla time.
I got a question on a PM about one of my posts and told the guy I can't ....find...it. He responds with an accusation that I am ....ignoring ..... him and he has a legit question and I won't answer.
Well, I really ...can't....find something if it is over a couple days old.
The post was "Hi, will you help me commit a crime?"
I entered "commit" ...AND... "crime" in the search template, listed my name as user (and poster) checked "Title" and gave it a time of ....I forget....but think it was 25 days.
NUTTIN.
So......whadda ya gotta do?

BINGO!
The way the form is designed with the "Search" button in the MIDDLE instead of the END of the form made me think that only the TOP half had to be filled in for a quick search.
My dumb.
The best bet is to use a single key word and enter the forum. It will usually work.
Try the quick search on the top of each forum to check that particular forum. It's much faster and more likely to work.

I've noticed the same problem. If I try searching for more than one word, it never seems to work.
