So long story short, I'm not convinced it's an error or a variety, but even if it were both they are so minor that they won't add much to the value.

If you are talking about the appearance on the left side of the mint mark, yes, it's shadow. There are only two images on the coin.

I pointed those out because they appear to be parrallel to each other and explain some of the misshapenness you mentioned.

Consider, however, the field between the raise and the olive branch. There isn't any evidence of any lamenation problem there.

Not concerned about value-added, but am very curious as to what others believe this may be. Thanks for your input!
