Hello everybody, it's been a while since I've posted a message. Last weeks Bid Board was a bit of a suprize, there were over 20 bidders present. I guess there was some pent up demand.
This weeks board is very, very good. I hope to see the same turn out this Saturday.
Please Read, I'd Like Some Feedback
Along the same vein, I would like to get the feedback fom Los Angeles area PCGS message board members about an idea I have. I would like to offer a bid board or silent auction venue, similar to my regular board, that is focused solely on Certified coins. The coins would be housed in a seperate area of the store and would function very similar to my regular bid board. I am still working out fee structures etc. so I don't have specific details as to how it will work yet.
I figure that ebay is great, the on-line auction companies are good and supply a valuable service, but I still think that most people like to commiserate with others of similar interests, and like most people that shop in grocery stores, they still like to squeeze the tomatoes, which in this case, coin or currency buyers like to actually see in person the coins or currency in the holders they are considering buying.
What I need are some people willing to commit to consign material to this new auction format and I'll work out the rest of the details and get this thing up and running in relativley short order.
I would like feedback on this idea to determine the interest and viability of pursuing this added aspect of the business.
I look forward to reading your thoughts, or if you'd rather, give me a call. Just link to my website to get my contact information.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your feedback and thoughts on the subject.
Sincerely,
Mike Billings
