cracking NGC slabs.....

been a while since I've done this. PCGS is a cinch, but does anyone have preferred techniques on these? Angle of attack?

Put into a vice and squeeze.

Put them edgewise in a vise and slowly and carefully close the vise until you hear the seams crack. Turn the slab around and repeat; the slab should now come apart easily.

I haven't had a slab yet that my simple ol hammer wouldn't crack....

I've used large pruning shears. They work for trees and slabs.

I remember the pruning shears-cumbersome. Just tried the hammer on the side-it worked! Not too hard! Thanks gang!

the answer to cracking ALL slabs is the good old hammer. even works on segs.
