Steve - Congrats on adding the (2) POP 1 specimens!
In light of the price hike for the platinum coins by the Mint, I believe 2004 Proof Plats sport some of the lowest mintages of any Modern Commem or Eagle coins. Indeed, PCGS graded just a few dozen $100 Proof Plat. specimens IN ALL OF 2004 in ANY grade!

Thanks guys. I guess that the value of platinum, and the Mint's pricing may have made the '04's an interesting play. I mean, how many of us are sitting on a bunch of raw $100 '04 plats just waiting for the right time to make the big submission. Could be fun...
Wow, What a great find on the 04. I agree with wondercoin on the mintages. Absolutely breathtaking low number of mintages. I wish I had a few million dollars to stock some 04 platimum away. I think the 05 may turn out to be a tough year too, if plat stays high or goes higher. Zach
Yes it does, but when some smaller denomination coins may now have values of 2...point...6...plus...million...dollars...(US), a one hundred dollar coin seems to resemble a pretty good example of "pocket change with potential", probably good for tipping in Vegas...and, due to their size and metal consistancy, they really do "plink" with great tone when dropped...
