I wish you all the luck in the world, but as the current holder of the #2 set, I have to tell you that some of the coins in this set are seemingly impossible to find, and even harder to afford.

Welcome and good luck - the 1980 set was the hardest of my kids' sets to put together. Very hard to locate gem quality coins.

I thought registry mint sets needed to come from one U. S. Mint issued mint set!

Nope...Just a collection of the graded specimens that make up a complete set of coins issued in that year.
