ldferg, do you have any odd issues in your submission?

    just recieved my grades today.

    mailed 11/30
    received by PSA on 12/7
    grades posted 1/12
  • Still haven't received the one I'm waiting for. I sent mine overnight the day after Thanksgiving (two submissions in one box). Entered by PSA 12/4. The first submission had grades posted 12/9, and I received them shortly thereafter.

The second submission is "in the grading process". Still.

Nothing odd in the submission, either. A 72 Topps Mays, some 77 and 78 Topps, a Ripken rookie, a Rickey rookie, a couple of modern refractor-type cards.

edited to reflect what was in the submission
  • Entered 12/4. No grades as of yet . . .

weird thing happened??? Sent in 3 orders together, express, vintage common, and December special, all in the same box mind you. Express was enter 12/29, vintage commmon on 12/30, and Decemebr special on 12/31. Got express back, but no others...HEH

I sent mine in the day after Thanksgiving too, although they didn't get logged into the system until 12/9. I sent an email to the customer service unit (cutting my own throat?) and was told that the special had a turnaround time of 35 to 45 business days. I was also told that cards go in "The Room" by a submission number. Does anybody else find this to be odd considering the other posts on this topic? Some guys had an extremely quick turnaround time, while others have had turtle speed turnaround times. I sent in 20 regular cards, so I don't think that is the problem. Funny thing is, my credit card was charged over a month ago. I was also told that graders do not see emails customers send or those on the message boards because they are in a room all day grading cards. I guess I will find out!

I submitted one order at the beginning of November and I had grades within a few days of being received. I submitted another order at the end of November (logged in 12/8) and am still waiting. It doesn't really bother me, for $5 I can wait.

Cards I wanted back quickly, I submitted under the $12/5 day special and received my order in the advertised time.

Its not an issue of how much it costs at all. The issue is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the order of the cards being graded. Like it was posted before, maybe they are sitting behind 4 Sharp Corners' cards. I have gladly paid the $12 for 5 day service in the past.
  • My stats: sent 18 cards........logged 12/6...nothing yet....

Of course I wanted them back after a week, but for $5, I cant complain.....I would rather wait than have to pay more......

I just keep saying"Today's the day, Today's the day, Today's the day, Today's the day" and checking the submission status a few times a day....er hour...ha

    Wow..........
I guess I'm pretty lucky in the submission results department. Sent 2 orders - a 5 free gradings and a 100 card submission:

Dec 31st - Sent both orders (extended $5 special)
Jan 7 - PSA received/checked in both orders
Jan 12 - grades posted for 5 freebies
Jan 13 - grades posted for the 100 sub.
Jan 13 - orders shipped from PSA
Jan 15 - orders arrived today at home.

THAT is what I call service. Thanks PSA! (Happy with the results too)

What's the secret? I have no idea, except I strictly adhere to PSA's shipping guidlines and my orders are very straightforward. Roughly the same outcome on a previous 100 card submission in September (bulk modern at $6)
