Back in probably 1997 I attended a good-size show at the South Jersey Expo Center in Pennsauken. Sat right next to Julian Leidman (funny enough, his room was also next to our room in the hotel). I don't know if this show still exists but I bet someone on these boards will.

In May there's a regional show. The GSNA Convention in Somerset. It's held in the Ukrainian Center (I think) which is right near the
Garden State Expo Center. It's a good 3 day show.

GSNA is a very nice show. Parsippany has 80+ dealers and is the largest regularly scheduled show in the country.

Ever since the state of new germany/jersey roped a show with crime scene tape to make sure nobody could go in or out until their thugs could go make sure that dealers were in compliance with new germany's tax code, I would find it hard to believe anyone having an interest.

I wasn't there but it was in Coin world, Numi News etc a few years ago. Ask Julian Leidman as it was said that his customer was threatened by new germany's tax police with bodily harm if he didn't step away from Julians table so that the tax police could jack Julian up for money.

    Something like that.

Thankfully NGC got the heck out of that place.

As far as I know, the Parsippany show is the biggest show in New Jersey. The GSNA Show, while a 3-day show, is actually a bit smaller, but it has dealers from outside the immediate area.

The show that was in Pennsauken in '97 was the GSNA Show, which is now in Somerset.

If you want a really big show, you'll have to go down to Baltimore or wait for the ANA to come back to New York or Philadelphia.

Wasn't that a small-town show in the south?

No Jeremy it was New Jersey. I believe Parsippany.

Then something similar happened in Alabama but the precedent was set in NJ

    Nice huh?

So it did once happen in the south image

Never heard the NJ story, though... even if I'm alone, I like my state image
