Nary a day goes by where there isn't talk about a fraudulent action.
However, I think this one has to take the cake.
It's an action for a 1953 Topps Willie Mays reprint with a starting
bid of $200.00. Even with a blurred photo, you can tell it's a reprint.
Better yet, his previous auctions include part of a RC car, an erotic
DVD, and RC manual, a fly swatter?!, a minature violin, etc. Crazy.
1953 Topps Willie Mays
I guess I have to give him credit for selecting a popular card that
wasn't a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle.

Yes I'd like "sum" clearer ones.
how did it get in the case? The
Ripken, Brooks & Frank Robinson, Old Orioles, Sweet Spot Autos, older Redskins - Riggins, Sonny, Baugh etc and anything that catches my eye.

"Hi there. Thought I'd help you out with a few things. First, the 1953 Mays is not Willie's rookie card. Second, the card you have listed is a 1993 Topps Archives Willie Mays, a reprint of the 1953 card. Despite the blurry image you've posted on your auction, you can see the Topps Archives imprint on the back of the card. At best, the card is worth $5, but it routinely goes for less than $1 on Ebay. I am sure you didn't do this intentionally, but it would be in your best interest to cancel this auction now, as several people are watching this auction, prepared to report you to Ebay as a fraudulent seller. Thanks!"
I'll let you know if he responds.

His response:
"ok u want a cleaner scan h/o but the basebal card told me to sell it for like $200 b/c it's worth more but ppl won't bid like 800"
I decided not to edit his spelling or grammar.
I responded a little more directly, not in Morse code but in English, and I'm sure he'll get even more difficult to understand as we go. If it wasn't for my 100% feedback and the fact that I'd like to be able to keep using EBay, these are the type of auctions I'd like to snipe for $10,000, and then just not pay.

Ya gotta feel for the guy because he is obviously clueless. If he were tryin to really scam someone, he wouldn't have shown the back which clearly shows that it is a Topps Archives card.
But I gotta say, it all adds to the entertainment of ebay.

Apparantly the baseball card told him to sell the Mays for $200. Crazy stuff happens when your on acid.

I know firsthand that one scam angle is to get a kid to post the auction, perhaps by letting him bust packs on a tab and then telling how he can pay it off. I was a victim of one of those.
