1972 DDO Updated Photo's Die number 5???

Found this in a jar of coins I have been meaning to look into further....
trying to get better pics, but my setup sux I think its the same as the one below listed as a Die #5.

Just won one on ebay and got in the mail today.......earlier die stage so better doubling noted:

    Yeah, I know its not a Die 1....i was wondering if its was a 2 or 3 or 4 or whatever....thanks man.

    to me the N form IN looks like its recut or something, I thought it was doubled a bit.....are my eyes playing tricks on me under a 17X lens?

    On the varieties that show doubling on the motto, it's quite obvious......

    What you see is master die doubling, also known as Die #5. This is best seen on IN and the first T in TRUST. Very, very common and worth no premium.

    You hit this nail on the head. It used to be referred to as MD-5-O-I-CW+II-C, master die doubling, die #5. They have reworked the system to disclude the master die doubling, so they took it out of die #5 and gave it a new die number for master dies, MD-1-O-I-CW+II-C (P, D, S, PR)
    . Die 5 is now filled with a rather new discovery that used to have a die #10 designator, but when the master die doubling came out of the #5 spot, die #10 filled the void.

    I hope you didn't pay much of anything for the one you won on ebay, there is no premium value for this doubling. Well over half of all 1972 cents are like the one you show.
