Last time I was there it was sort of decent. Different dealers/WannbeDealers seem to show up for it. If the weather is decent I'll give it a shot. Snoqualime would be the route.
That reminds me of this piece. I'm not sure what it is, I got it back in 1986. At the time I was only only 7 years old but for some reason I kept it. I remember my Dad gave it to me, I don't know where he got it. It's the size and weight of an Ike, approximately. The relief of the plane against the clouds is quite impressive, with the airplane sticking out about oh I'd say about a half of a centimeter from the surface!!
<< <i>It looks like it might be a medallion commemorating the 5000th aircraft manufactured. Maybe some Boeing guy is hanging around and can clarify.

Yes it is commerating 5000th 747 built. The Boeing Co. has and still does put out different medels for different milestones. Been with them since 85. I will probably go to the show if Im not working.

I built the IHOP in Kent, WA. Can anyone tell me how its holding up? It was back in like 93=94 when I was doing the JBs to IHOP conversions up in WA & OR. I did about 14-16 of them from Oly to Everett. Just wondering if the are still doing well?
Sorry to be missing the Boeing show.......gotta work. Russ, give me a page if you see any proof Flyer cents or patterns....
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.
The 1986 medal commemorated the rollout of the 5000th commercial aircraft from Boeing. I have probably a dozen or so rollout medals for new and derivative airplanes.
Boeing has a great corporate coin club and website, Boeing Employees Coin Club. The BECC has monthly meetings open to guests and associate members, presentations and discussions cover all numismatics from local tokens to world coins. The BECC also has minted medals annually since 1964 in silver, bronze, pewter, and some gold.

P.S. I thought the last Kent show was fairly good. I bought three SEGS Indian cents (for re-sale) for a total of $225.00. Really nice 63's. Sold them on eBay for $200.00 total. Glad I could be of service.
Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

The medal commemorates the 5000th commercial Boeing Jet's production in Seattle, which took place sometime in October/November of 1986.
I'll be sure and snatch up all of those stupid SEA GREEN, CRIMSON RED, OCEAN BLUE, DELICATE GOLD PCGS MS67 Mercs before your guy gets started. You know, less "clutter" for your friend to sort through (like there is actually going to be any!).
I'm here to help!

Make sure to post the Mercs and rub it in after the show. I'll be here waiting. Actually if I thought something would be there for sure the 500 miles would not matter. Experience has told me that this will not be so.

The one on Central Avenue? When the 6.8 earthquake hit here 2.28.01 the entire building flattened like a pancake. (Get it? )
Just kidding.

Russ........Did it really take a HIT? It was probally one of the most screwed up "JBs" I had to remodel on the whole circuit. As I recall....it came out pretty descent. I used to eat at the Dennys across the street.Wonder if that is still there. Also bought a lift kit at a 4WD shop in Kent. Small world.

Tell me more about this Beoing Show?
I have some gold medals issued by Boeing that I'm trying to research and this sounds like it may be a good place.
I think it may be the whole issue for two years.

My goal is to locate a late date MS62 or 63 Mercury with a hint of brown toning. If I do better, fine. You're saving a lot of gas money!
Russ -
Is it true? Is it true? Is this really the biggest thing to occur is Kent, WA since the IHOP opened in '94?
