Help Identify Medal Please

Hi,

My father-in-law pulled this out the other day to show me and asked if I knew what they were....had no idea but told him I knew where I could find out. image

He didn't remember where he got them but actually has two of them in cardboard holders inserted into plastic flips. They are about the size of a morgan dollar and appear they may be silver.

Anyone know??

Thanks,
Ron

The face value of these coins is 25 Pence. Most likely yours are Copper-Nickel though the Proof version of the coin was produced in Silver.

  • Thanks for the help....I knew someone here would know. image

With the info I received I was able to do an eBay search and find a few of these that had been listed....although none had actually sold even with a $.99 opening bid.

It was fun anyway learning what they were and my father-in-law will be so impressed with me. image
