SMR Pricing with qualifiers

I am getting ready to list a few cards that have qualifiers. I will clearly post the qualifier in the description. My question is, would it be misleading to post an 8OC and use the SMR of a PSA6? That is the formula for the registry, but is it right to use that price for an auction?

That sounds more than fair (IMO). I personally would pay more for a PSA 8OC than I would for a PSA 6 since I'm not inclined to enter the card in the registry. Registry people would immediately understand the two level drop off in price, and all others would expect there to be less of a drop. If you give the reason for the price estimate in your description, all the better.

I don't agree with putting SMR values in your auctions anyway - it puts a cap on what a buyer might pay. After all, if the guide says it's "worth" $50, then I want to pay $25. Marketing 101.
