eBay auction quiz: how many rule infractions can you find?

ebay auction clinic

Well, who wants to start? I'll go first. How about this line:

"I will start the auction at $9.99; but will withdraw the auction if reasonable bids are not made". Well, at least the auction is a "no-reserve" auction. image

Let's move on, shall we. Only $9.00 to ship the card? Well, that seems within reason to me. Again, no intent to circumvent ebay's fees there.

How about the dreaded "Please add 3% to total if using PayPal". To quote Fletch, "I'm not even sure that's illegal anymore."

Then the description: "This is a well centered card with . . . ". Ay yay yay. I guess this explains the reason he felt the following disclaimer was necessary: "All information listed is intended to be as accurate as possible, but errors are possible. No item may be returned or refused based on this information which is provided as a service to our customers."

This doesn't even include the fact that the "card is priced in most guides at $160, but goes higher in the market place, especially since it is graded."

And what a stellar trim job this one has. I guess PRO has no OC qualifier.

What? So, if you pay "late" (and what exactly is late?), then you can't return this beautiful gem? He'll still take your money, you just have no return ability anymore. Too many rules - this guy needs a clue.

That's acutally the lowest PRO grade I've ever seen...6.0.

Is the top of that card missing? 6.0= 60% of the card present in the holder???
  • That doesn't sound very different from george Bush's reasons for being in Iraq. If George Bush hasn't gotten into trouble for it, why should this guy, or gal?

    Iseeyou,

    I share those sentiments exactly.
