100 peso or 10 peso Mexican state coins. which ones should i collect?

Hi, I don't really know much about the darkside so I hope someone can help me. I think it would be neat to collect all the "state" coins in north America. I am collecting the US 50 state quarters and I have a set of the canadian quarters from 1992. But I don't know which of the Mexican state coins to collect. The 10 peso silver proofs or the 100 peso bi-metal ones (not the gold/silver ones)? Both seem kind of expensive, especially the ones from the first year. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sorry, bud! I don't know anything about Mexican coins, but if I did, I'd gladly advise you. I suppose you have to look at your expenses to see if you can afford a particular collecting direction. Plus you should go with what you like most. And of course you can always embark on a certain path and change it if you decide it's not for you. No harm in that!

Thanks!image I think bi-metal coins (100 peso) look neat but I really like silver proof coins (10 peso) too.

  • I've recently started collecting Mexican coinage, Just got a 1984 1 Onza, Gem BU, 12.00, But really like the coin, also i have a few of the KM#493 100 Peso coins, I like them because they are appealing to me and inexpensive, But i just got a KM#481 1945 Gold 50 Peso that was part of my late father's estate, set in a rope chain bezel and the extra heavy gold rope chain, that of which is priceless...... BTW, I also got a 1968 25 Peso Olympic coin which you can find for about 10.00 in Unc.imageimage
