Grading Supplies

I'm getting some supplies so I can do a better job grading raw coins before I buy them and I have a question about the loupes. I'm checking out the Brent-Krueger store and I see the following:

10x Hastings Triplet - $34.45
Harris/Anco 16x wide field loupe - $9.35
12x Bausch & Lomb Folding Magnifier (5x+7x) - $17.37

Judging by these prices I can't just go by the 10x vs the 16x. What am I missing? Any help or even other recommendations would be greatly appreciated? Price is a big issue for me but I don't necessarily want to go with junk.

What other supplies are recommended. As soon as I find a Photograde book I'm getting that.

Thanks,
Millertime

I use both a 10 and a 16 and even a cheap radio shack engineers magnifier that is hand held and good for 60 X 100. They are all tools and it depends on what you are looking for. The Radio shack microscope will pick up hairlines and any varieties.

You want the triplet for sure. better edge to edge clarity than with a doublet. The other two are doublets. I do have the Anco one, though, for variety stuff. I use the ANA triplet (B&L) for my regular stuff.
