IHC people -- did I miss a variety here?

I have a large collection of Indians and I'm a Fly-In Club member, but I confess that I don't know that much about varieties and such. I wonder about an AU-50ish 1891 IHC I just sold on eBay.
A typical AU might go for $15-$20.
At snipe time, someone bid $50...but the previous high bid of $10.50 -- holding up less than a minute before the auction ended -- went up to $51 by proxy, from a seemingly reputable bidder.
I don't get it.
Can anyone who knows a lot about IHC varieties tell if this is some valuable variety I just let get away? Or is it just stupid money for which I should count my blessings, considering I paid about $8 for it at a local coin show a few years ago?

Hmmmm. In my opinion, I think that you should count your blessings on that one. Unless I can't see it in the picture, I would say that it's not a variety. The only variety that should bring that kind of money in an eBay auction is Snow-3 (repunched date). That is strange that it went to $51 though.

Thanks. I looked through the Snow book as well as the Flynn/Steve book and I saw nothing that suggested this was any of those listed varieties. The date is clearly not repunched that I could see under 7x magnification. But to sell for this price, at least two people had to think it was worth paying $50+ for, so I had to wonder if there was something I missed.
