Birmingham (UK) Show Pics and small report

Hi,
I went to the "Midland Coin Fair" this morning.
46 dealer tables, wide variety of coins- I spent about two hours looking around.
Usual moans about coin fairs - lighting is rubbish, nowhere to sit down - etc.
I read with envy show reports that say - eg - lively trade in early hammered, milled gold getting good premium, blah blah.
When I ask dealers the replies I got were - Oh very steady - can't complain - It's a mad rush - bit quiet, but plenty of time left .
I asked some big dealers what was selling well..... Oh everything really -- across the board.
These were from dealers I was buying from!
I think the show was fairly slow (the car park was not full), but some dealers were very busy.
I met Andy from onlinecoins, nice bloke (too pleasant for a dealer???).
I also met his wife - Andy is a lucky man!
Back to the coins, I bought a few and traded a few.
I had an 1805 nFDC proof farthing, and a GEF 1750 farthing that I had upgraded - and needed to get rid of - hence buying/swapping for the 1718 silver proof.
This show I picked up some good coins and some gap fillers, gap filler upgrades.
List:- in no order, all farthings
1) 1718 silver proof GVF, but weak strike, little wear.
2) 1823 GVF gap slight improver
3) 1754 F 4 over 4, not seen before - and I have an interest in 1754 farthings
4) 2 x 1700 F cheap, and one looks like a possible variety.
5) 1836 GVF gap
6) 1895 OH UNC L gap
7) 1899 EF gap
8) 1925 BU improver
9) 1847 UNC L improver
10) 1862 BU doubled 8
11) 1868 UNC L
12) 1674 F possible 2nd N in Britannia over O, not sure but still paid big money!
13) Edward I silver like Withers 28 but CIVI looks like CIVL
14) Edward III Withers 1d - my first Ed III farthing - WAHOOO!
15) James I Peck 103 lion rampant.

Nice coins.
Wish I had been at your show instead of the one I was at this weekend.
Spin.......,
Sorry,
I spend too much time being ignorant re UK farthings to notice much else.
However Dave Craddock (A1 top dealer) - 90% of the coins I have shown - has:-
1923 proof set halfcrown to threepence AFDC £320
1950 Proof Halfcrown BU £100.00
1893 Penny GVF £60.00
His UK prices are good, SA - sorry no idea.

At first I thought you were talking about Birmingham Alabama, but I began to wonder why the prices were in pounds....
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
