Opinions please on this Seated Liberty Dime

I don't collect silver but this dime just jumped out at me at my local coin shop. I know the photos don't show it well, but it has deep mirrors and some cameo contrast. Could this be a proof?

Doesn't look like a proof to me, from what little I can see in the small pictures. But of course the pics don't show the mirrors and cameo contrast you mentioned. How squared off is the edge? Wire rims?

Proof or not (and I think not, based on the pic), it's a pretty coin.

The edge is squared off. I'm not sure what wire rims are. (Jeffersons don't have them).

If it were a proof the local dealer would have told you (at least I would hope he could spot a proof -LOL).

Looks like a very nice coin, don't think it's a proof, but a very eye-appealing business strike.

If it "just jumped out at you" maybe you should get it? either that, or get your "one that got away" story ready for this thread

The coin looks to be a business strike and not a Proof. In addition to the lack of mirror-like surfaces, there is too much weakness in strike (see the reverse wreath area). And, the lower reverse border, in particular, is much too rounded and weak for a Proof.

Business strike. I addition to comments above, you'd expect to see more definition in the bow (full split band?) and better detail in the veins in the leaf on the lower right.
