"worse known" modern prices going through the roof?

  • I don't get it. I can see a small novelty premium but that's absurd.

That is truly an example of slabbed pocket change if ever I have seen one. Outside the plastic, and inside as far as I am concerned, the coin is worth one cent, and not a farthing more.
  • It's a fine example of "collecting what you want to collect"! If someone wants to buy it, it's their perogative!
  • I think it's way under graded ... It's at least an 8 ...

A few months ago a seller had a handful of classic commems in P-1 through VG-8 on eBay. Many of the pieces sold in the AU price range . . . crazy, but it appears that at least a couple of people are putting together "worst ever" commem sets.

I love his BIN price of $275! For that price somebody could find and submit a bunch of their own!

<< <i>What's this guy thinking with his reserve? >>

He was thinking...."I hope that Braddick guy finds this auction!"

I need to drag out the piggy bank and have some coins certified.

Then maybe I'll have some money to buy those cheap ol' bust coins I've been wanting.

That's sad. It looks like one of our own is paying $55 for this. Reserve has been met and there is no BIN right now.

I can take pocket change that I have worse than this one and send it in for certification and sell it for this and still make money.

Yes you can. Make ten of these Lincoln Memorials in GD04 or less and I'll give you $750.00 for the lot. Considering the coins will only cost you 10cents and the grading another $100. or less, that's a profit of nearly $650.00!

Prediction: In six months I'll still have the $750. in my bank account.

See key dates are worth as much as common dates in these grades

  • That coin has far too much detail to bring so much. You have to buy the plastic, not the coin with these rarities. Don't be mislead by seller opinion, only the best services can grade the really worst coins!!!image
