Prepare to be disappointed, or ......

..... in possession of less cash in your wallet after the HWCA sale.

Attendees in need of British bobs and bits:

A.H. Baldwin & Sons
Certified Coins Investment, Ltd.
Paul Davies
Dix Noonan Webb
Christopher Eimer
Knightsbridge Coins

.... and that's the tip of the iceberg.

I placed an initial "teaser" bid on a certain coin which was 70% over Spink, and it has already been exceeded....fear not, I will bid again!! image

There a few bright spots of copper, but not much depth in this sale.....keep your eyes open in the near future. image

Correction - there are few bright spots in the copper. Even though the technical grades are good, I don't think many of the Vicky coppers and bronzes are all that attractive. Of course it could be the pictures....

Wybrit, I was alluding all the way back to George II and not much about Vicky. The pieces which will garner the most activity is that 1831 1/2d, the 1719 dump, 1740 1/2, a fairly decent 1799, and a couple of cartwheels. The 1891 bun head is a nice coin...I've seen it personally; it's nice, but yes, not much else.
