Show Report - Texas Coin Show - and a Giveaway!!!! WINNER in first post

The Texas Coin Show is running this weekend - I went for about 4 hours today, looking for mainly coppers to fill my African type set, the British 1/2 Penny ships and the Guernsey coins. Struck completely out on Guernsey - nobody had any of the pre-decimals that I did not have. Did manage to find 5 nice uncirculated 1/2 penny's for the British set and even 2 nice proofs that I did not have. I also found 2 nice 1942 1/2 Pennys that had really cool green album toning circles (they were dupes, but with the toning, who cares)!! I also found about 35 coppers for the African type set - mostly from the latter part of the century, but I did manage to find some mid-century East African 5 Cent pieces that filled empty holes nicely. All-in-all, it was a very good show for me! I will get some pictures together over the next few days and post them for the folks here to see.

The only complaint that I have is that I tried to sell some non-copper darkside stuff - extras and such - but none of the dealers was willing to go more than pennies on the dollar, so I guess that I will have a lot of stuff to list for the next weekend swap...

As for the giveaway - while browsing one dealers selection of coins, a 1966 Canada Dollar with really neat purple/magenta toning caught my eye and I bought it with the idea that I would give it to somebody here on the boards. To enter in the giveaway, just post to this thread and I will choose a winner at random on Monday morning. The giveaway will close at 7:00 AM CST. I will try to get a picture up either tonight or tomorrow morning so that you will be able to see what you could win!

Sorry - there will be no pix tonight - momma took the camera today and fried the battery - I will post a pic tomorrow before I mail it to the lucky winner!
