I've also got this Thread posted in the World Forum as I'm hoping, between the two coin forums I'll at least begin to know where to do more research on what I find to be a fascinating looking medal. It's about twice the size of a Morgan dollar. I picked it up today in a small grouping of coins having really no idea what it's all about. I'm assuming it's German.
