Baseball HOF Collectors, I have a question

I'm about 40% into a master baseball Hall of Fame Master set. For the experts that have already gone this road, are there HOFers with no cards available from their playing years? I'm talking more about the oddballs like managers, executives, and negro leaguers. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jim

For some of the negro league HOFers you can find some cards from their playing days in Cuban and Puerto Rican issues

jim - for some of the 19th century HOFers, the answer is yes. I don't think Candy Cummings had any cards until after WWII, and there may be some others the same way (Al Spalding, etc.) I also don't think Kenesaw Landis had any cards until after WWII.

  • Jim,

I assume you're talking about the "Complete" set on the Set Registry? It would help if you were more specifc about which people you are asking about? Everyone listed in that set has a card from the years in which they were active.

Some of the negro league players were in cuban issues as was mentioned. Some of the umpires and administrators were in 1950 Callahan. They're the biggest odd balls I can remember off the top of my head.

If you have questions about what cards were available for specific players, manager, administrators, etc ....I'm sure we can help.
