The articles will be a great help for me I am sure. I have already discovered that a digital under 3mp just doesn't do the job I want. I have a group of proof's that I want to photograph but my lighting is consistently hosed or the camera isn't up to the job. I am now seriously looking at spending money for a good 5mp or better camera and gritting my teeth the whole time. I guess I will just have to break down and do it even if it means another month without buying any goodies. In the end however I will get to share, there have been many posts where I wanted to put up one or more of my goodies and just haven't been able to do so. Who knows, maybe a month off from buying little silver goodies will turn out to be a good thing...

After a great day of dumping some liteside stuff at a local show I will be ordering a set of the Photoflex lights used in the Coin World article. I'll let you know how they work.

Looking forward to some great coin pics!
I have just tried the "45° glas" method, here is a result:
I used regular light bulbs, hmmm..
In my opinion it is no problem to take acceptable pictures of raw coins with this method.
But I still have a big problem to get a good photo of a slabbed coin, because of the reflections on the holder!
Does anybody have a tip for me?
As for the slabs,
