I was wondering why Jason Bradford left Heritage. Now I know why.

Did Jason Bradford have any relationship to the Bradford Exchange family-wise?

  • Only makes sense, seeing how NGC is going to begin grading them.....and it should bode well for currency collectors, as there was only one real grading service...CGA...perhaps now, depending on how loosely CGA graded currency, currency guys will see the problems coin guys have with third party and third world grading of their collectible...but for their sake, and I have seen what some CGA graded notes bring, I hope CGA doesnt turn out to be the SGS, ACG, or even PCI of currency....but it IS a good thing, as long as they are graded consistently...though we all know PCGS and NGC miss the boat sometimes, I would rather those guys miss the boat by a grade and resubmit than those third world grading services calling an XF Bust Half MS......it should be good for them, and for those of us that werent in the coin hobby at the beginning of grading services, will be an eye opener for us to see what collectors of currency think about it...PCGS became #1 in coins (rather, their product was deemed the standard with collectors), I wasnt here to see it all unfold, but it will be interesting to see what grading service is the collectors choice for currency grading.

  • If it gets some of you coin guys into paper, prices will skyrocket.
  • PCGS got to #1 only for there Set Registry in my opinion ...

Now, expect to send your notes in 5 or 6 times to get the grade "YOU" want.

The few notes I've sent into CGA I've not seen them as too liberal with their grades as some have infered.

But, my focus is on Nationals so to have a note graded is not as important as other currency.

I welcome NGC and PCGS into the Independant (Yea, Right) Third Party grading arena.

I wonder if PCGS will help to put a stop to all the "doctored" currency that has been certified. Doctored and messed with currency in TPGS holders is a MAJOR problem at the moment.
  • I think I'll send in a few star notes to get a low serial number "rattler" holder of the future!! What I can't wait for is

ANACS doing NET grading on these!! Can you imagine? "Bleached, refolded, hole repaired, erasures, recut edge, tape damage removed---

Unc. 60, net Fair-2 " I can't imagine. You think coins are screwed up?? image

the few cga notes i've looked at / bought, i've pretty much agreed w/ their grades. but grading of notes, at least valuable notes, is a lot less subjective imo than w/ coins. there aren't so much of the factors of "eye-appeal" & "toning" involved.
