The Prussian have always seemed to be a little more difficult to come by as opposed to the Bavarian. The sets were in boxes, but not $100 boxes. The price is started at the very high end too.
<< <i>The price is started at the very high end too. >>
That's what I thought . . . a little over a year ago I picked up an original Bavarian set in the box for $550 . . . and that was retail. Of course, they were not certified . . . but who cares?

I'm flexible on the price. I was really looking for some guidance as to what was reasonable. These are not something I regularly deal with. Thanks for all the advice & opinions.
My advice . . . keep them . . . they are wonderful coins from an amazing sculptor. Alternatively, done them to the ANA Money Museum so I can play with them.

Interesting you mention the ANA money museum. When I was a kid growing up in Manhattan, the money musuem used to be in midtown up on 6th Ave. in the 40's or 50's (I think). One day I finally got around to going there to learn they had just closed - for good in NY.
Between Christmas & New Years this year (2004) I took my kids to Colorado Springs & saw an advertisement for the new one there. We went only to find out they were closed for the week between the holidays.
So I'm 0 for 2 trying to see the place. I'm sure it is really cool with all they have there.
I thought it would be interesting to check the pops on these. If anyone has the PCGS coin number for the 1913 P 2 Mk I'd apopreciate it:

<< <i>He's selling them on the BST if anyone is interested. No prices listed. >>
thanks for the heads up on these
PCGS just shipped these yesterday. Unfortunately images won't then probably be done until the Monday after FUN (1/17).
I think the Bavaria set with the original presentation case should go for around $750 & the Prussia set should go for around $850. Any thoughts?

OK $850 for the Bavaria set with the case & $750 for the Prussia set which never had a case issued originally (I think).
Gosh it's hard to worship Darth...

<< <i>I believe both sets had boxes and are indistinguishable from each other.
I believe Bill is right . . . but the prices for the sets must have jumped recently.
