1922-P Peace VAM - spike on eagle shoulder

I picked up a roll of 1922-P Peace dollars today. Several of them have this same exact error. There is a clashed spike on the reverse coming from the eagle's right wing. I thought it was a 2AA, 2AB, or 2AG, but the pictures looked different... my spike doesn't lean that far to the right. Who's a Peace VAM expert? Any ideas? The obverse is doubled in areas.... date, GOD, TRUST, and elsewhere.

  • Better pictures of the four coins with the same clashed spike on the right shoulder. Sounds like the description for the 2AA or 2AG. Does anyone have a 22-P VAM-2AA?

  • Very very common on a Peace $.... I can post about 20 links to coins on ebay with them right now. There's no premium in them.....

The 2aa goes from the right of the shoulder to the tip of the "N". I've sold one of those (WIll not buy another), check my sales... (GEMPEACEDOLLARS)

Thanks for the info. That's a big help.
Should I assume this clash at the back of the neck is common too (1923-P)?

    Thanks again for the help.
