is this lincoln clip authentic?

hi all. does this look like the real thing? 1951 Lincoln

    Doesn't look like a clip to me. The metal looks like it was scraped up along the edge. You don't show the rim on either face, but I'd wager they are fully formed up to the edge.

    What seanq was going with the rim was if it showed the Blakesley effect, which is a weakness in the rim or design elements 180 degrees across from the clip. Most genuine incomplete planchets show this effect due to the lack of metal not making the rim form @ 180 in the upset mill, which cause the coin to be weakly struck 180 degrees across from the clip. If it were a clad cent it would be easy to authenticate as the blanks are plated after being punched out so if you see a clipped clad cent with the zinc core showing it's FAKE.
    Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
