More New Pics: 1941-S Mercury Toner

First time I tried to reshoot this with the Nikkon, I had real troubles getting good pics with the Nikkon... and so, this afternoon, I tried again... got some computer paper, taped it over one of my lamps, and used that to diffuse the light... it worked fairly well... but, then I was thinking... I turned that lamp off, and took my other lamp and aimed it up at the paper and turned the light on... BAM!! Instantly better pics!! So, first the luster pics, then the WOW!!! pics

No. That's a great coin. I said WOW when I looked at it.
All four images show the look to me.
In hand I bet it deserves a WOW.

Try reflecting the light off the coin and then directly into the camera, using a fabric (like an old bed pillow, perhaps) to diffuse the light. Sometimes this works, other times it doesn't.
