My 1909 vdb Lincoln Cent...

I must have shot this coin twenty times trying to capture a true image of what the coin looks like. The obverse picture is a little washed out, but I finally got the color right. This is very close to how the coin looks in hand. I gave $55 for it in a ICG holder graded MS-65. I didn't agree with the grade then and still don't today. Overall I didn't feel the money was bad for a 1909 Lincoln. What do you all think ?

Do you think it grades higher? With the print on the reverse it likely won't go over 65. But I think it was a good deal for $55

No way, under a 5x there are a lot of tiny carbon spots on Lincolns head.

that by itself is hardly enough to prevent a grade of ms-65.

The print on the reverse hurts it, but I love the color.

you know, I like the pic-great work! Coppers are tricky to shoot, and that little bit of darkness is sometimes a necessity to get the color and the luster right. Be proud of the pic as much as the purchase! The f-print isn't too distracting.
