I'd be curious to hear a show report that compares this show to the monthly one the Liberty Coin Club hosts every second Sunday in neighboring West Haven. I'm having a hard time believing this area can support two monthly shows.

I went to the one last month. For a first time show I'd say there was a good turnout and plenty of US coinage to choose from. Not enough High grade darkside for me.

  • hi,
you can contact me at info@coinsuperstore.com and I will be happy to talk to you about your slabs.
  • what will wind up happening is that the west Haven show will suffer because its a much smaller hall. We had made a suggestion to them to combine the 2 shows. To date we have not heard any replys

they each had someone to sue...

As a fairly new collector, I thought the West Haven show was terrific and plan on going to New Haven. Nice, folksy bunch. Brought my 7-year-old boy with me, they gave him a little coin album at the door, then various people tossed him a coin or two. The lady at the snack counter bought him a hot dog, chips and a coke. Everyone very free and relaxed with their time and counsel; I learned a lot, bought a couple of coins.
I'm in the golf business and have always considered people in that racket to be terrific, but you coin people come close.

Ok I am home. I sold 75% of what I bought with most to Vinman and his partner. Got pretty close to what I wanted on everything.

As for the show, not bad for a second time venue. I believe in time this show will only grow and become even better. The only thing
I did not like was there is not enough High Grade Darkside of the type that I collect.
