1921-D VAM-1J Morgan in EDS?

This looks like an early die state of the 1921-D VAM-1J, but I'd welcome a confirmation. Got it last night from what is now my favorite antique shop.
Lots of gunk on the obverse. Does it look like a VF?

I've got a similar 21D with identicle glue residue like that. At first, I thought I was reading my own post. image

Looks EDS to me, but I am not a professional.

Have you tried using acetone? It might help to get rid of that residue.
I've had great transactions with people like: drwstr123, CCC2010, AlanLastufka, Type2, Justlooking, zas107, StrikeOutXXX, 10point, 66Tbird, and many more!

I'm going to try it. I used it on some other coins and it didn't seem to do much (which may be a good thing). I never tried it on glue. I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
  • acetone should take the glue off, i had several that were glued on tipboards years ago and the glue came right off.
If you can read this, your too close.

Acetone should help a lot... and the coin looks like a solid XF to me.
    When in doubt, don't.

I'm with Dennis. Point #1: Aceton + QTip = No more glue. And on point #2, coin has solid XF details.
