Did I find my first CC Morgan PO 01 ?

Sorry Guys, Its off to PCGS and then hopefully into my "Best of the Worst" CC Morgan set to downgrade my existing FR 02. Its the first one I've found that has absolutely none of "Liberty" in the crown and you could still read the date. Thanks, CCG

Here's my opinion:

The raw coin is a Fr-2, and the slabbed coin is undergraded (really AG-3). I think that you should submit the slabbed coin to PCGS for their grade guarantee. You probably owe them money.

I think it has a shot but is not quite nice enough. Is you set listed? I am having a terrible time with the two

keys to the CC set (1885 and 1884), although I did find a horrible '89 CC that has a shot at AG!! Plus I got a very nice

Washington 1932D in certified F-2 that I feel is a lock upgrade to PO-01 the other day. Very Worn CC and congradulations!

My set is listed under CC Morgan Dollars Circulation Strikes ("Best of the Worst"). You have to click on show all sets to get down that low. The 84 and 85 are the keys to low grade CC Morgans. VERY TOUGH. There is another set with the 85 in FR 02 and its a POP 1. I don't have the 85 and neither one of us have the 84 yet.

That is a major accomplishment. I finally found your set down at 222 or so with the set rating of 2.1!! "What is it about the Morgan Silver Dollar that inspires the best?"---I love the introduction by PCGS. You don't have a single coin above AG either. So hard to find these rare pieces unpolished too!!

Yes, I think it would grade PO01. Here's my PO01, which I believe is under graded - its clearly more worn than your FR02 but not as worn as your raw coin. Go for it and good luck!
