For those of you who know Washington quarters...are a good many 1954 P quarters toned?
Was wondering if nice white ones are a wee bit hard to find.

As many were saved in original rolls and these coins tend to be white however they are baggy and fall into the ms63-ms65 range....
All of the Mint Set issues should be toned, most will be drab and dull looking..... The ones with knockout color and if they are relatively hit free tend to warrant the ms66-67 grade... A white 1954 in a seven holder is a tough find. There are only 30 graded at this level with none higher, chances are that a brilliant white one doesn't exist in a seven holder.
Anyways, to answer the question as I understand it being asked, a white 54 should be a easy find, however very tough and scarce in a high ultra GEM grade.
