Do darksiders view dipping less evil then lightsiders, asking because of a heritage auction descript

Bouncing through Heritages auctions doing a search for 1870 coins when I came across this one --> Auction Link. ?

I do not recall ever seeing something like this in a auction description before -- However I do collect Indian Head Cents primarily, so I doubt I would come across something like this to often.

Makes you wonder if it has not already been dipped and some of the luster stripped and retoned after the dip. If it is such a light toning, makes you wonder why the luster is so subdued.
