Do darksiders view dipping less evil then lightsiders, asking because of a heritage auction descript

Bouncing through Heritages auctions doing a search for 1870 coins when I came across this one --> Auction Link. ?

I do not recall ever seeing something like this in a auction description before -- However I do collect Indian Head Cents primarily, so I doubt I would come across something like this to often.

Thanks everyone....

  • Makes you wonder if it has not already been dipped and some of the luster stripped and retoned after the dip. If it is such a light toning, makes you wonder why the luster is so subdued.

  • It might be a way of saying that they're not happy with the grade.
