Anybody know anything about this Canadian token?
This is another of my recent local coin shop buying spree. I kinda like it. Paid all of $2 for it.

Yours looks VF-ish to me, maybe a bit higher, so looks like you got a great deal

The Bank of Upper Canada was organized in 1820. The order for the copper for the tokens was placed through Rowe, Kentish & Co. whose initials appear on the Obverse. The tokens of 1850 were struck at the Royal Mint bud did not arrive in Canada until 1851. The Royal Mint also began the coinage of 1852 but was unable to complete the order and contracted the work to Ralph Heaton & Co. of Birmingham. The coinage of 1854 & 1857 was also the work of the Heaton Mint. The dies for the tokens were cut by John Pinches.
Very cool token! I would guess aEF except for the hole.

grade though and this one is nice enough to get some collector interest.
It is also a late die state. Pretty near to die failure. Notice the die crack starting to the right of K in BANK and travelling counter clockwise to the base of the 7 in the date. There are also die cracks at the tops of the letters UPP, the left side of N and around the D of CANADA. Also a diagonal crack from the lower fore leg extending thru the tail of the dragon across the hoof and into the ground.
There has been a lot of polishing too. St. Georges left arm and fist holding the reins appears as a lump, the sword is disconnected from the grip (forgot what the handle thingie is called), the left rear leg of the horse is not attached to its body, neither is its tail.
Here's a scan of my Penny showing more detail:
