I'm pretty happy about this order. It's kind of like my little Christmas gift from PCGS .


1 21825842 1880-S S$1 80/79 USA MS65 (Bought as an MS64. It's a VAM 9)

2 21825843 1880-O S$1 USA MS62 (Bought as an MS60+)

3 21825844 1882-O S$1 USA MS62 (Bought as a "BU", but I thought it would go 63. It's
a VAM 7 RPM.)

4 21825845 1887 S$1 USA MS64 (Bought from Harlan Berk as an MS63. It is an 1887/87
repunched date, VAM 5.)

Date Shipped: 01/04/2005

I try to be pretty discriminating with my PCGS submissions and so I'm happy with 3 out of 4 upgrades. Does anyone know what these VAMs are worth? Thanks.

Very nice Rick, congratulations. I can't advise you on the VAM premiums but that 1880-S VAM 9 is a Top 100 coin.

Thanks Richard. I was pretty surprised at getting an MS65 for the '80-s. I'll take it though!

The most recent Insights give a price of $195.00 for the VAM 9 in MS65. I don't think there are other price guides for non-hot 50 or top 100s.
